Project

Black hills of South Dakota: World’s Largest BIF Gold Province

The Bella Project is 3160 ha property, strategically situated approximately 20 kilometers from the renowned Homestake mine, which produced 42M oz of gold over its history. Coeur Mining is actively mining and exploring within the Homestake district, with 4M oz of gold produced to date from the Warf Mine.

The Bella Project hosts substantial gold mineralization associated with Proterozoic to Archean banded iron formations (BIF) of the same age, composition, and metamorphic grade as the Homestake district. Recent sampling efforts have collected grab samples yielding
up to 138 g/t of gold.

Bella Project Highlights

Badlands Resources plans to begin drilling in late 2024, using recently collected surface samples and strategic private claim positioning to guide targeting. The 2024 exploration program will focus on drilling near surface targets and on expanding the surface sample coverage.

2022 – 23 Field Program
In 2023, over 600 high-grade gold grab samples were taken, with assays pending, including samples up to 138g/t Au.
The Richest Banded Iron Formation Hosted Gold Belt
Coeur Mining is extracting a multimillion-ounce gold deposit in the Homestake District, where the Homestake Mine previously hosted about 42 million ounces of gold.
Bella Project is located 20km from Homestake Mine
Gold mineralization and structural controls are of identical ages, linked to plunging folds, suggesting the presence of large “Ovoid” bodies.
3160 Ha consisting of 9 patented lode claims
Multiple historic mines on the property including Cochrane, Standby, Lookout, King of West and Yellowbird Mines

Homestake
Gold Trend

Bella Project only 20km away from Homestake Mine BIF

The Rochford district contains historic gold mines that targeted Proterozoic and Archean gold mineralization associated with iron formations and shear zones similar to the deposits at the former Homestake gold mine in the northern Black Hills. The host rocks consist of metamorphosed greywacke, iron formation, quartz mica schists, basalt and gabbro.

Homestake and Rochford districts host similar gold mineralization in the banded iron formation (BIF)

Little to no exploration between Homestake and Bella, partly due to shallow sediment cover

Rich History

There is a rich history of mining on the property including the Cochrane, Standby, Lookout, King of West, and Yellowbird Mines. The majority of historic drilling was completed on the Standby patent, leaving the remainder of the property underexplored. Geophysics over the property has been effective in outlining the BIF trend and identifying extensive near surface mineralization potential.

Rochford District Claims

3160Ha in the Black Hills

  • Majority of the historic drilling was completed on the Standby patent accounting for 16,360m (45holes).
  • Underexplored near surface targets over remainder of property
  • Minimal ground work and mapping in the last 10 years with only 30 samples taken in 2022.
  • Geophysics completed in 2017 and processed by Condor
  • Structural model completed by SRK in 2021

FIELD PROGRAM 2023

Over 600 surface samples taken on the Bella Project in 2023 ( assays pending )

90% of exposed BIF wasn’t covered by sampling prior to 2023
Surface sample density greatly increased during 2023
